Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant responsible for ensuring efficient patient care in a clinical setting. The role involves direct patient care, clerical duties, and supporting physicians during procedures. Additionally, the Medical Assistant is tasked with maintaining clinical environments, ensuring compliance with health standards, and facilitating patient appointments and follow-ups.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
  • Assist with patient care including scheduling, accompanying patients to exam rooms, and preparing for exams.
  • Manage clerical tasks such as handling patient records, scheduling, and processing medical forms.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized.
  • Support the organization by promoting patient rights and handling emergencies appropriately.
  • Facilitate check-out processes and assist patients with orders and referrals.
  • Provide telephone support, schedule appointments, and ensure registration forms are complete.
  • Prepare electronic charts with necessary documentation for upcoming appointments.
  • Handle transcription of physician voice recordings and manage data entry tasks.
  • Submit billing data with accuracy, ensuring correct coding, and maintain confidential records.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Medical assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in medical assisting.
  • BLS certification.

Qualifications
  • 6+ months of back office MA experience.
  • Preferred: National certification for registered medical assistant (NCCT) or certified assistant through AAMA.
  • Bilingual communication skills.

Schedule / Shift
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
