- Edit raw video footage and audio files into a finished product that meets project specifications
- Add music, sound effects, and other elements to enhance the video
- Collaborate with the producer and director to understand the project goals and requirements
- Create motion graphics and incorporate other visual elements into the video
- Ensure the final product meets quality standards and is delivered on time
- Stay up to date with new video editing technologies and techniques to continuously improve skills and knowledge
- Manage project files and archives to ensure efficient organization and retrieval
- Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
- Handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio of work
