Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard - Data Center in Downtown Toronto, ON.  

Position: Security Guard - Data Center

Type: Part - Time

Location: Downtown Toronto

Schedule: Friday's and Saturday's, 2200-1000

Pay-Rate: $22.00 to $23.25 per hour   

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking highly professional and reliable Security Guard - Data Center to join our team at a high-end data center in Brampton. 

You will be joining a team known for exceptional diligence, situational awareness, and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and strategic patrols throughout the data centre to maintain safety, compliance, and operational integrity.

  • Perform active CCTV and live monitoring using advanced surveillance systems (experience strongly preferred).

  • Enforce rigorous access control procedures, verify credentials, and manage visitor/contractor escorts.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with operations staff, site management, and security leadership.

  • Respond to security incidents and emergencies with calm, effective decision-making.

  • Coordinate with team leads to ensure seamless shift transitions and continuous security coverage.

  • Complete detailed reporting, site checks, and documentation in alignment with data centre standards.

Requirement:

  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • First Aid and CPR.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong ability to operate technology, access control systems, CCTV platforms, and communication tools.

  • Physically able to stand/walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 20 kg.

  • Experience in a data center, or high-security environment is a strong asset and highly preferred.
