Work Environment: We offer a hybrid work environment that offers flexibility to our employees in balancing in-office (2 days per week OR 15 hours per week in a Wawanesa office) and remote work. You may work from any of the following locations: Winnipeg, MB; Wawanesa, MB; Vancouver, BC; Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; Lethbridge, AB; Toronto (North York), ON; Kitchener, ON; Ottawa, ON; Montreal, QC; Moncton, NB; Dartmouth; NS. 

Working Business Language: Bilingual in French and English. This role requires regular interaction with customers across Canada where the business languages utilized are both English and French.As such, the successful candidate must be fully proficient in English and French.   
 

Salary: At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees. Job Overview

As a Claims Quality Assurance Analyst, you'll play an important role in supporting Claims Operations by helping strengthen best-in-class practices, enhance file handling consistency, and contribute to a high-performance culture. In this role, you'll take part in file reviews, calibration sessions, and trend analysis to identify meaningful improvement opportunities across the claims experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Champions change and continuous improvement within the Claims Division.
  • Reviews files, exposures and customer interaction to support the calibration of Adjusters and Claims Leaders to our claims processes.
  • Conducts calibration sessions with front line and regional claims managers.
  • Makes observations about opportunities to enhance calibration.
  • Identifies trends where practices are providing obstacles for claims teams and participates in continuous improvement exercises of those policies.
  • Participates in identifying and planning claims training.
  • Participates in formal QA only calibration sessions.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends and changes to ensure Wawanesa is prepared to respond in a manner consistent with our vision and values.
  • Collaborates with members of the claims team to understand file opportunities, and leverage Wawanesa resources to build exceptional file handling practices.
  • Reviews and analyze performance reports.
  • Assists Sr. Analyst(s) in conducting regional level calibration sessions with operations as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience adjusting or examining claims within the property and casualty insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with Quebec auto and property claims.
  • Fluency in both French and English is required for this role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, relationships, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage priorities and adjust effectively as business needs evolve.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Self-directed and accountable, with a strong commitment to team goals and shared success.
  • Completion of the CIP or FCIP designation would be considered an asset.
