We are seeking a part-time professor to teach a course in an introduction data analytics and visualizations for students in the Bachelors of Multidisciplinary Design program in the Faculty of Engineering, with a focus on Excel and Power BI.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging lectures on data analytics and visualization techniques
Create hands-on exercises using Excel and Power BI
Assess student performance through assignments and projects
Provide constructive feedback to support student learning
Hold office hours to assist students outside of class time

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Fluency in French (written and spoken)
  • Proven teaching experience at the post-secondary level
  • Extensive knowledge of data analytics and visualization principles
  • Knowledgeable in statistics.
  • Skilled in databases manipulation and database structures
  • Comfortable navigating multiple open data sources.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry experience in data analytics or business intelligence

Familiarity with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, R, Python
