Position Overview
The Adjunct Faculty members teaches Artificial Intelligence courses to students in the Bachelor in Science program.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes
What you will be doing
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Maintains department standards
  • Recruits and participates in retention of students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • Master's degree in Geographical Information Systems Technology, Geospatial or Spatial Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering; or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in one or any of the following fields: Geographical Information Systems Technology, Geospatial or Spatial Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Experience with applied learning methodologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments
