Thomas and Reed is placing a Market Research Analyst at the Rural Export Center, within the International Trade Administration, in Fargo, North Dakota (on-site in Fargo only)
The Market Research Analyst shall work to deliver high-quality, thorough market research reports, and training. They will support the development of training content and support the delivery of in-person training content delivered in regions where rural companies have access to the training. The candidate shall provide regular reports and updates to the Market Research Program Manager.

Job Description
Prepare high-quality and thorough market research reports and website globalization reviews in a timely fashion, using project management tools and techniques and high-quality research tools. These tasks will be completed in close coordination with the Market Research Manager and Assistants.
Co-deliver research results directly to clients at critical points along each projects process, ensuring that findings are clear, actionable, and in synch with agency programs, events, and services.
Support promotion of services, including developing social media, website, and newsletter content which will contain publicly cleared client success story write-ups, upcoming events, testimonials, tips for rural exporters, features on partner organizations, and similar content.
Evaluate and recommend additional data tools that may be useful to the research process.
Support the development and constant improvement of training content to ensure high-quality training seminars and webinars are available to clients.
Co-deliver training seminars for clients, under the direction of the Market Research Manager and closely coordinated with other specialists from around the United States.
Support the overall quality and visibility of the agency in interactions with clients and specialists, to generate positive word-of-mouth testimonials regarding the quality and benefit of the research being generated measured by the steady stream of research requests.
Extensive written documentation of dates, specific client research requests, feedback, and outcomes in conference call (coaching) notes.

Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Bachelors degree (typically in business or economics) and/or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
Proven market research skills, preferably export market research experience.
Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Comfortable operating in rural environments working with a rural client base.
Requires no supervision on tasks but will receive instructions as to the general results expected and technical guidance on unusual or complex problems.
Strong attention to detail and familiarity with principles of design.
Preferably has private sector experience, including private sector exporting experience.
Preferably has experience interpreting web analytics and basic familiarity with web graphic design.
Preferably has experience leading seminars geared toward business owners, with a proven track record of high-quality oral communication and adult instructional methods.
