Position Summary
The Workforce Planning Data Analyst supports the Department of Education’s Office of Human Resources by analyzing workforce data, forecasting trends, and delivering actionable insights that support workforce planning initiatives and organizational strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze workforce data, trends, and staffing needs
- Conduct workforce forecasting, modeling, and gap analyses
- Build dashboards and visual reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel
- Produce recurring and ad hoc workforce analytics reports
- Support Workforce Plans and workforce action initiatives
- Track milestones, outcomes, and workforce metrics
- Extract and transform HR data for reporting and analysis
- Deliver data-driven insights to leadership and HR teams
What You Bring
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years analyzing federal HR data
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data modeling
- Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI
- Experience conducting forecasting and statistical analysis
- Knowledge of workforce demographics, staffing, and competency data
