Job Description
Hill Street community center is looking for an enthusiastic dance instructor who loves children. We are a smaller site located right off the Beltline and Capital Blvd. Instructors will need to create and utilize lesson plans that teach children ballet and tap to children 2-5 years of age and ballet, tap and jazz to children 6-8 years of age. They will need to facilitate various fun activities associated with dance and the instructor should be able to adapt/revise program activities to meet the needs of program participants.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach the foundations of dance and basic motor skills.
  • Communicate and work well with children, teaching youth the basics of dance.
  • Available to class participants/parents before/after class for follow-up on instruction presented during class.
  • Set-up dance room to be consistent with lesson plans
  • Evaluate each dance class upon completion to determine action necessary to improve upon each program
  • Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or GED is the standard entry-level requirement.
