Part Time Customer information

What are the typical work schedules and flexibility options for part-time customer service roles?

Part-time customer service positions typically offer flexible scheduling, which can include evening, weekend, or split shifts to accommodate both business needs and employee availability. Many employers allow part-time team members to indicate their preferred hours, making it a suitable option for students, parents, or those with other commitments. However, schedules may vary week to week, and peak business periods often require additional coverage. It's common to work closely with supervisors and other team members to ensure all shifts are covered, fostering a collaborative work environment.

What are part-time customer service jobs?

Part-time customer service jobs involve assisting customers with their inquiries, problems, or requests, but on a work schedule that is less than full-time—typically under 35 hours per week. These roles can be in-person, such as in retail stores or call centers, or remote, such as online chat or phone support. Part-time positions offer flexibility for students, parents, or anyone seeking supplemental income. Responsibilities often include answering questions, resolving complaints, processing orders, and providing general support to customers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part-Time Customer Service Representative, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part-Time Customer Service Representative, you need strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. These competencies are vital for providing excellent service, retaining customers, and representing the company’s values in every interaction.

Job description

Immediately hiring Part Time Customer Support Specialists at Signius Communications - Mobile!

What is a Customer Support Specialist? Our technology allows us to be a virtual extension of our client's teams and to make a direct impact on their everyday operations. If you're a strong typist who loves customer service and talking to people, this is the position for you! Every interaction is an opportunity to help a customer feel valued, respected, and taken care of. We're looking for people who are detail oriented, motivated, and compassionate to fill these important positions.

Customer service experience is a plus but not required. This is an in-office position.

Your day-today will be managing a high-volume of inbound calls and ensuring any message taken is captured efficiently with accuracy. To be set up for success, you will be trained on our internal advanced call processing systems and industry-leading tools. We are an inbound call center only, so telemarketing calls or sales solicitations are not part of the role.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A welcoming voice with an upbeat tone
  • Strong command of the English language with good spelling and grammar
  • Computer skills in a Windows based environment
  • Good attendance
  • The ability to type 35 words per minute or more

Compensation: $20 / Hour

Perfect Attendance is considered being on time for the start of your shift, leaving and coming back on time from any breaks during your shift, and fully completing your assigned shift. Compensation without perfect attendance is $17 / Hour.

Shifts Offered:

  • Part Time
  • Various shifts available - evenings and weekends
  • Must be available to work a weekend day (Sat or Sun each week)

Training will last approximately one week. On your second week, you will move to your new set schedule.
