Job description

Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is searching for a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. This is a part-time, night shift position. This position reports to the Director of Critical Care Services. 


The RN will provide care to the ED patient, including timely triage, physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education. The RN is responsible for meeting core measures, contributing to a reduction in LOS, active participation in all aspects of quality, safety, and performance improvement activities, and collaboration with all members of the multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and the public. Meets and exceeds the CDPH, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.


  1. 6 months of recent ER or critical care experience in an acute general hospital required.
  2. Current CA RN License
  3. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) required.
  4. CPI/AB508 or equivalent within 90 days of hire, transfer, or promotion.
  5. Completion of a critical care training program preferred.
  6. Proficiency in both written and oral English.
