Job description

Position Overview:
Reporting to our Food & Beverage Management, the Part Time Restaurant Server/Bartender professionally provides guests with information about the culinary and beverage selections available, helping guests navigate the menus, collecting guests' selections, accurately presenting, and serving selected items plus ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the experience. This position is ideal for an energetic hospitality professional who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences and thrives in a fast-paced hotel restaurant and bar environment. The Part-Time Server/Bartender plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and represents the hotel's commitment to excellence.
*Part Time Position
Evening shift- 4:00pm-10:00pm
Shift time may change during high season
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding menu items, beverages, specials, and promotions.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring quality and presentation standards.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging atmosphere for all guests.

Bartending Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, standards, and legal requirements.
  • Verify guest age and identification in accordance with alcohol service regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible beverage service.
  • Replenish bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and inventory as needed.
  • Accurately process beverage orders through the point-of-sale system.

Restaurant Service Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain dining areas according to established standards.
  • Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready for service.
  • Process guest checks and handle payments accurately.
  • Assist with opening and closing side work duties.
  • Support banquet, room service, and special event operations when needed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure efficient operations.

Operational Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menu changes, and hotel events.
  • Follow all cash handling and POS procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and service stations.

Qualification Standards:
  • High school or equivalent preferred.
  • Bartending experience required.
  • Hotel restaurant experience is a plus.
  • RBS and ServSafe Food Handler Certification required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill necessary tasks.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 30lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Wage Rate: $19.76 - $21.64 per hour
