Job description

Duties Description Customer Engagement: Welcome visitors, assist with check-ins, and guide individuals to the appropriate staff or department based on their needs. Front-Line Support: Answer phones, help route inquiries, and provide timely responses to common customer requests. Resource Room Assistance: Support customers with resumes, job applications, and navigation of workforce tools (e.g., VCC, InterviewStream, Coursera, Northstar)

Digital Literacy Coaching: Provide basic computer and technology assistance, including email setup, online applications, and job search platforms. Workshop & Event Support: Assist with scheduling, sign-ups, marketing, and facilitation of in-person and virtual workshops, job fairs, and recruitments. Technical Assistance: One-on-one digital coaching that assists teaching customers and staff how to use online portals.

Minimum Qualifications Be 18 years of age or older Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State* Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program), or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent Preferred Skill sets: Knowledge in Microsoft Suite Degree Concentrations Requested: Business Administration, Communications Studies, Education Studies, Human Resources, Liberal Arts, Public Administration Additional Comments Preferred minimum education level: Sophomore Preferred maximum education level: Graduate Student Our mission is to provide outstanding services to our customers-the workers and business that call New York home.
