Job Description: Wound Care RN or LPN
Location: Flagstaff, AZ
Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Department: Wound Care / Clinical Services

Position Summary
A respected hospital in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care RN or LPN to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment abilities, experience in wound care management, and a passion for providing excellent patient-centered care. This role offers flexible scheduling with both part-time and full-time opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized wound care assessments, treatments, and ongoing management for patients with chronic and acute wounds

  • Perform wound debridement (within scope of practice and credentialing), dressing changes, and treatment procedures

  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans

  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic medical record accurately and timely

  • Educate patients and families on wound care, infection prevention, nutrition, and home care needs

  • Monitor patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care

  • Assist in evaluating wound products, equipment, and treatment protocols

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and evidence-based practice standards

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in the wound care clinic or patient care units

Qualifications

  • Current and active Arizona RN or LPN license (or compact license eligible for AZ)

  • Previous wound care experience strongly preferred

  • WOCN or wound care certification is a plus, but not required

  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities

  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative care team

  • Comfort with EMR systems and clinical documentation standards

Schedule & Work Environment
