Saturday Soccer Club Field Supervisor & Coach Development Lead

Position Overview

Soccer Stars United is seeking an experienced and highly dependable soccer professional to serve as our Saturday Soccer Field Supervisor and Coach Development Lead for the upcoming Fall season.

This on-field leadership position is responsible for overseeing the consistent and professional delivery of the club's Saturday programming at St. Paul's Recreation Complex. The successful candidate will ensure that coaches arrive on time, are properly prepared, and deliver the assigned weekly curriculum to the expected standard.

The Field Supervisor will serve as the primary point of contact at the facility and will communicate regularly with the Club Operations Coordinator, coaching staff, and club board members. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished coach who is ready to take on greater responsibility in coach management, curriculum implementation, and field operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain an on-field presence at St. Paul's Recreation Complex from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on every scheduled Saturday during the Fall season.
  • Confirm that all assigned coaches arrive on time and are prepared for their scheduled sessions.
  • Monitor training sessions throughout the day to ensure coaches are accurately and effectively delivering the designated weekly session plans.
  • Provide coaches with constructive feedback, guidance, and on-field support when needed.
  • Maintain a high and consistent standard of coaching, professionalism, organization, and player engagement across the program.
  • Learn, interpret, and communicate the club's coaching curriculum and weekly training objectives.
  • Assist with the development or refinement of session plans and curriculum materials when requested.
  • Address coaching, scheduling, operational, and field-related issues calmly and efficiently as they arise.
  • Maintain consistent communication with club board members and other program stakeholders while representing the organization professionally.
  • Provide the Club Operations Coordinator with timely and accurate reports concerning coach attendance, punctuality, session quality, curriculum execution, and any incidents or concerns.
  • Escalate significant staffing, safety, or operational issues promptly.
  • Help foster a positive, organized, and development-focused environment for players, families, coaches, and club representatives.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of soccer coaching experience.
  • Strong understanding of player development, age-appropriate training methods, and session organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, implement, and design soccer curricula and session plans.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to evaluate coaches objectively and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and operate efficiently under pressure.
  • Professional and confident when communicating with coaches, parents, club officials, and board members.
  • Dependable transportation and the ability to arrive before the start of Saturday programming.
  • Availability for all scheduled Saturdays during the Fall season is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or managing other coaches.
  • A current US Soccer, United Soccer Coaches, UEFA, or comparable coaching qualification.
  • Experience working within a youth soccer club, academy, or community-based development program.
  • Experience developing seasonal curricula or overseeing multi-team training programs.
  • Current first aid, CPR, or player-safety credentials.
