Description
POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Engineer
Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, performs a variety of skilled work activities associated with the operation and maintenance of the campground.
As a Maintenance Engineer you will:
1. Ensure proper installation, repair and maintenance of all equipment and plumbing.
2. Ensure maintenance and repair of all finished surfaces in the hotel.
3. Assist with installation and maintenance of air conditioning units, systems and HVAC operations.
4. Review all outside contract services for departmental responsibilities with the hotel's General Manager.
5. Maintain secure storage and complies with good safety practices.
6. Maintain the key and lock system in the hotel.
7. Review all supply purchases with the General Manager.
8. Maintain minimum inventory of supplies and parts as needed.
9. Maintain all lighting, interior and exterior.
10. Maintain the exterior appearance of the property.
11. Maintain and control all tools owned by the hotel.
12. Assist with the loading and unloading of supplies weighing over 40 pounds.
13. Additional duties may be added as needed.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Specialized training and experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, plumbing and HVAC desired. Ability to read, speak, write and understand the primary language of the workplace.
EXPERIENCE: Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or commercial building preferred. A general understanding of budgeting and expense control helpful.
PHYSICAL: Requires lifting of up to 60 pounds on a regular and continuing basis, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, climbing, walking, repetitive motions, listening ability, visual acuity, and good speaking skills.
