Job description

Systems Engineer, Lead
The Opportunity:
Are you ready to leverage your technical expertise and big-picture systems thinking to advance national security space missions? At Booz Allen's Strategic team, you'll play a key role as Lead Systems Coordinator, ensuring seamless integration across space, ground, and crypto segments of next-generation strategic military satellite communications. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to create a collaborative environment where various experts work together to translate complex operational needs into cohesive engineering solutions.
On our team, you will work will Booz Allen colleagues, other support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel to develop and deploy the next generation of strategic military satellite communications capabilities. You will be an integral part of the engineering branch to assist the government as the Lead Systems Coordinator ensuring the space, ground, and crypto segments are integrated successfully to meet user's needs. You will provide direct support to the chief engineer and manage the Booz Allen engineering team supporting the program office. Your expertise and innovative thinking will be critical to ensuring capabilities are delivered to meet the threat.

You Have:
  • 13+ years of experience in systems engineering or integration within DoD space systems, applying a system of systems approach
  • Experience with model-based or digital systems engineering to manage system definitions and technical baselines
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to bridge technical and operational perspectives to develop integrated satellite and ground system solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with initiative and accountability
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

Nice If You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with military SATCOM systems
  • 3+ years of experience with space acquisition programs
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, software factories, or DevSecOps pipelines
  • Ability to rapidly learn, adapt, and solve complex problems creatively
  • Possession of strong communication and collaboration skills to engage cross-functional teams and build consensus in various and high-stakes environments
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • CSM, CPO, PMI-ACP, or ICP Agile Certifications
  • ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
