Job description

VG Systems, LLC is seeking an entry-level part-time Contract Specialists to fill a HUBZone position supporting our CEO and COO. Candidates must meet HUBZone requirements to be considered for this position.

Depending on the department and work to be performed, the work location will vary. This position may be performed on-site at the Quantico headquarters office with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule. Candidates may be required to complete up to half of their hours in person at our Quantico office located at 521 C Street, Quantico, VA 22134.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, including government and IT-related contracts, under the guidance of company leadership.
  • Support contract lifecycle management from proposal through closeout, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct contract analysis to identify key terms, risks, and compliance requirements, particularly within Government Contracting (GovCon) and IT frameworks.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on contract terms, deliverables, and performance requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of contract documents, modifications, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research related to contract law, procurement, and compliance (FAR/DFAR knowledge preferred).
  • Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and government representatives regarding contract matters.
  • Assist the CEO and COO with contract administration and related legal or administrative support tasks.
  • Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity in handling sensitive contractual and legal information.
  • Provide general administrative support to leadership as needed.


Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts - GovCon and IT contracting experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition processes, FAR/DFAR, and contract compliance best practices.
  • Paralegal certification or legal background preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Highly dependable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work approximately 10 hours per week or 20 hours biweekly
  • Small Business Administration (SBA) HUBZone eligibility preferred; must be able to provide documentation to verify HUBZone status.
