Job Type: Part Time


United Construction & Forestry is looking for a Student Technician. Selected participant will get part-time on-the-job experience while attending your own outside program geared toward service. This position supports the Service Department providing extraordinary customer service on new and used John Deere equipment, while also providing exceptional hands-on experience.


What You'll Do

  • Assist the Service Manager and technicians in the efficient operation of the department
  • Cleans, organizes and maintains the condition of shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Assist service technicians as needed, including delivery of parts
  • Assist service technicians with repairing, servicing and moving equipment
  • Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information.
  • May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment
  • Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products

  • Physical stamina in the handling of complex tools and heavy equipment and moving through confined spaces
