The Opportunity:
Prepare technical drawings and documentation. Develop detailed design specifications for products and structures and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures. Communicate and collaborate with internal and external as well as technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, to ensure the quality and accuracy of drawings, models, and other written deliverables. Apply knowledge of program and project requirements, policies, and procedures. Perform moderately difficult support tasks. Work independently with minimal supervision and follow general instructions.
You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience working with mechanical 3D modeling and 2D computer-aided drafting (CAD), in a professional environment
  • Experience with dimensioning and tolerancing for 2D drawing development
  • Experience with 3D modeling techniques and best practices
  • Ability to develop detailed technical, mechanical, and electrical documentation for U.S. Navy shipboard installations, including 2D technical drawings, detailed bills of material, and associated written technical documentation
  • Ability to support SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD
  • Ability to collaborate with an integrated product team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with hardware design, development, model-based definition, prototyping, and integration of information technology network installations, electrical or mechanical shipboard installations, or military systems
  • Experience with 3d modeling programs, such as CREO, Solid Edge, or Inventor
  • Experience with performing peer reviews or drawing checking, Configuration Management, or SOLIDWORKS PDM
  • Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and modern manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing techniques, including 3D printing, and subtractive manufacturing techniques, including CNC
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14 standards
  • SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, or ASME GD&T Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
