Location: This position travels to Land O' Lakes & Tampa.
Position Summary: Assists patients in the Optical Department with their optical need.

Essential Functions.
• Performs preliminary duties Greets patients professionally, cheerfully, and in a timely manner
• Verifies patient's insurance coverage
• Obtains authorizations Pulls previous files
• Updates patient demographics as needed
• Verifies HIPAA and Privacy signatures are obtained
• Answers phone promptly and professionally
• Makes appointments for lens technician and I&R training
• Takes messages and follows through
• Handles customer needs and requests efficiently
• Promptly and cheerfully assists patients with frame selection
• Demonstrates product knowledge
• Shows ability in prescription analysis, and guides patient to the products and materials most suitable for their prescription
• Accurately prices orders Shows skill in the adjusting and fitting of eye wear.
• Problem solves in resolving patient issues with eye wear.
• Performs Insertion/Removal training for contact lens wearers
• Orders frames, lenses and contact lenses
• Intergy - Accurately posts charges
• Collects monies and posts payments Balances journal and locks it each day
• Creates a journal for the next day
• Secures deposit at the end of the day Logs off Intergy and out of computer before leaving

• Empties HIPAA container into destruction bin
• Restocks frames at end of day
• Dusts frame shelves monthly
• Keeps up with filing on a daily basis
