Job description

Clinical Staff Pharmacist, Acute Care – Part Time

Springhill Medical Center's inpatient pharmacy provides services for 200+ inpatients, an advanced heart care center, and one of the busiest emergency departments in the city. Pharmacists are required to: manage medication dosing and monitoring services, participate in proactive antibiotic stewardship program, verify orders placed in 100% electronic chart, and manage technician staff.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Education Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Current Alabama Pharmacist license
  • Valid controlled substance certificate. 

Job Requirements:

  • Hospital Pharmacy experience required
  • Basic math skills required for compounding IVs
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
