Job Description:
Position Summary - M - F 8 am - 5pm, On-call rotation for nights / weekends - split amongst the 5 techs.
To perform EEG tests as requested by physician.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EEG tests as requested by physician.
  • Gather patient medical history, explain testing procedures and prepare the patient for procedure.
  • Monitors the patient's status and notes any abnormalities during testing.
  • Reports findings to physician once testing is complete for further analysis.
  • Enters appropriate data in computer modules.
  • Verifies department inventory levels and reorders additional supplies as needed.

Education/Experience/Licensure
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in clinical Neurophysiology preferred.
  • Experience: Previous healthcare/ EEG experience preferred.
  • Certification/Licensure: EEG Certification required. Registered EEG Technician preferred. BLS authorization preferred or obtained within 90 days of date of hire.
