Job description

Maintenance Tech (West Haven, CT)
  • Perform general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, janitorial, and limited grounds upkeep.
  • Prepare vacant units for re-rent within required timelines and assist with preventive maintenance programs.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems (fire, water, security) and report issues to the Property Manager.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring tenant safety, and building integrity.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, supplies, work orders, and report time and materials as required.
  • Minimum qualifications: 1–2+ years maintenance experience; knowledge of plumbing, electrical, lock systems, plaster/wall repair, painting; ability to prioritize and complete tasks independently; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications: Working with diverse residential populations, customer service skills, and computer literacy (email, word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Part time: 24/ hrs a week. Flexible on which days they will work. Will be discussed in interview.
