Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree to teach any master's level discipline in which learning assistance or tutoring is provided, which includes the following disciplines, accounting, allied health, art history, biological science, business, child development, computer science, dietetics, English, foreign language, history, humanities, mathematics, music, nursing, philosophy, physical science, social science; OR, Master's degree in education, educational psychology, instructional psychology or creative writing, or other Master's degree with emphasis in adult learning theory; OR The equivalent AND Evidence of sensitivity, understanding, and ability to manage the classroom environment AND effectively provide instruction to community college students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Recent community college or lower division teaching experience.
