Personal Trainer
D1 Training Coaches are motivating and encouraging, corrective and informative, and exciting and life- giving. They must take control and organize groups within our classes and train for performance with athletes and personal training clients. D1's mission statement is to motivate and inspire all to be their best and achieve their goals. This includes people of all ages and exercise backgrounds. At D1, the goals of our members and clients become our own and we do everything we can to ensure they achieve them!
Essential Competencies:
  • Ability to work with members and clients of all ages and fitness backgrounds
  • Proactive in seeking out clients through self-promotion
  • Utilize and carry out D1's 5-star training program with enthusiasm
  • Know, understand, and implement D1 Core Values at our facility and in daily life
  • Able to lead small and large groups while maintaining a coaching style directly correlated to the D1 Way
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills
  • Capable of sharing knowledge regarding health, fitness and nutrition
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and management
  • Able to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle
  • Constantly seek to gain more responsibility by being proactive and a contributor to D1
  • Proactive in generating new ideas regarding D1: programming, marketing, member appreciation, community outreach program, etc.

Required Qualifications:
  • Nationally recognized & accredited certification: CSCS / NASM / ACE / ISSA / ACSM
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in strength and conditioning or sport setting

Preferred:
  • Background in Collegiate and/or Professional sports
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or equivalent
  • Master's Degree in Exercise Science or equivalent
  • NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
  • USAW Level One Sport Performance Coach Certification or comparable experience (NASM-CPT, PES/ACSM-CPT acceptable)
