Job Summary
The Ground Support Equipment Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day oversight of maintenance operations supporting ground support equipment in a fast-paced airport environment in Seattle. This role is responsible for ensuring operational readiness, safety compliance, and the effective management of a team of mechanics and technicians supporting critical equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide daily leadership and oversight of on-site maintenance technicians and mechanics
  • Ensure compliance with all company maintenance procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and oversee scheduled, preventative, and unscheduled maintenance activities across GSE assets
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and pneumatic system issues
  • Inspect, repair, and overhaul components to meet OEM specifications
  • Ensure proper documentation and completion of all maintenance records and compliance reporting
  • Maintain strict adherence to all environmental, health, and safety regulations (including OSHA and EPA standards)
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Mentor, train, and develop maintenance personnel to improve performance and retention
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across maintenance processes

Qualifications & Experience
  • Prior experience managing maintenance teams within aviation, ground support equipment, or heavy equipment environments (e.g., crane, oil & gas, mining, rail, maritime)
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and develop teams
  • Advanced troubleshooting expertise across electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Proven ability to manage preventative and corrective maintenance programs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with customers and stakeholders
  • Solid computer skills with experience completing internal systems documentation and customer reporting
