Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking non-credit part time instructors for the Center for Mathematics, Science, and Computer Education. We seek qualified instructors who can contribute to the University's educational mission and bridge the gap between the classroom and the industry. Successful candidates will instruct/co-instruct on a wide variety of topics in K-12 STEM education.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
• Instructing/co-instructing mathematics, STEM, STEAM, maker education, or coding workshops for teachers and/or students at the K-12 level
• Prepare course materials (i.e., syllabi, presentations, hand-outs, reading materials, etc.)
• Provide constructive feedback to participants.
• Practice innovative educational methodology

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a Masters/PhD. degree in K-12 Mathematics or STEM field and at least two years of K-12 instructional experience. Also requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Individual will have knowledge of classroom management, adult learning, and effective communication/facilitation techniques. We are an inclusive learning community, and classroom spaces should reflect that, regardless of subject matter.
Success in this position will be measured through workshop enrollment attendance, evaluations, and participant engagement.
