Job description

Responsibilities/Qualifications
Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide care to our residents in Lake Orion, MI.
The Caregiver/MedTech will assist residents with activities of daily living, medications, and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.
Experience passing medications is a requirement, you must be comfortable working alone.
Responsibilities:
  • Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
  • Passing medications following physicians orders.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
  • Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
  • Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
  • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Every other weekend is required.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid Driver's license or ID.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position. Caregivers will be scheduled to work 8-hour shifts. Every other weekend is a requirement.
