A PART-TIME TEMPORARY Maintenance Worker is an essential member of our team, we invite you to apply and help contribute to CNLV'S growing success! Please thoroughly review the information and selection process outlined below this announcement.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Part-Time/Temporary Position - This position is a part time/temporary position and DOES NOT include health or medical benefits. Hours for this position will not exceed 938 per calendar year.
Pay Considerations - The hourly pay for this position is $19.56.
Work Schedule - You must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, overtime, stand by and holidays.
Environment -
  • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
  • The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
  • The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals, walking, and working on slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

THE ROLE
Under direct supervision, performs various unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance and manual labor work in the care and maintenance of Craig Ranch Regional Park.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Three (3) months experience performing General Park and landscape maintenance work.

Licenses and Certifications
  • Must possess a valid Nevada state driver's license/ Identification Credential or have the ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
  • Must complete an OSHA-10 course in construction/general industry safety and health hazard recognition and prevention within fifteen (15) calendar days after hire. Completion card must be continuously maintained while employed in this classification.

SELECTION PROCESS

  2. The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process.
  3. Oral board interview (Pass/Fail).
  4. Pre-Employment Screening - Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history check via submission of fingerprints; drug screening; and a Child Abuse & Neglect Registry clearance for applicants 18 years of age or above. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
