Job description

In this hybrid role based at our Chicago offices, you will source and analyze loan opportunities on investment commercial properties, owner occupied commercial properties, and warehouse financing opportunities, including loan on loan structures to Specialty Commercial Real Estate Lenders (Specialty Lenders). Responsible to convey and enforce lending standards and parameters established by the Commercial Lending management team. Partner with the commercial underwriting and closing/servicing teams to create a seamless experience that puts customer service at the forefront. Responsible to be the point of contact on warehouse financing engagements. Responsible for assisting the commercial leaders with compiling performance statistics, dissecting and analyzing these figures.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and maintain lending relationships with commercial mortgage bankers and specialty lenders in a designated geography as well as exit mortgage banking and specialty lender relationships that are unproductive.
  • Originate and close loans that comply with MBL credit standards from specialty lenders and mortgage bankers.
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of bridge and permanent loan opportunities as well as warehouse line opportunities and assist underwriters in authoring comprehensive loan presentations.
  • Procure materials needed for initial credit presentations to fully analyze and advance associated transactions through underwriting.
  • Collaborate with and assist commercial lending underwriters to ensure accuracy and completeness of loan submittals and to gather materials necessary for annual credit reviews.
  • Assist leadership with compiling reports.
  • Respond to inquiries by auditors and examiners.
  • Support the credit union's relationship culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service and superior product knowledge.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments through membership in trade associations, trade journal subscriptions and attendance at seminars and conferences.

Education & Years of Experience

  • Minimum- 4 Year Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or Related
  • Minimum - 5 Years Commercial Real Estate or Related

In Lieu of Education

  • 8 Years Commercial Real Estate or Related

Compensation & Benefits:

Typical hiring range:‏‏‎ ‎ $84,200.00 to $131,000.00‎ Annually. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills & knowledge.
