Position Summary 

The Office Manager is the operational backbone of the 49 Financial Austin flagship office. This part-time, on-site role is responsible for keeping the office running smoothly — from managing supplies and technology to hosting events and serving as the go-to resource for employees and vendors. The ideal candidate brings warmth, reliability, and a proactive mindset to create an environment where the team can do their best work. 

Key Responsibilities 

Hospitality & Events 

  • Plan and host monthly office events and celebrations that build culture and community. 

  • Partner with the Event Planner on monthly event execution, including food ordering, setup, on-site support, and cleanup. 

  • Prepare and host firm-wide and HQ meetings held at the Austin office, including room setup, materials, and day-of coordination. 

Office Operations 

  • Monitor and replenish office supplies, kitchen snacks, stationery, and equipment on an ongoing basis. 

  • Maintain organization and storage systems throughout the office. 

  • Manage building access cards for the Austin office. 

  • Coordinate with vendors to keep the office safe, clean, and well-maintained. 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office-related issues, responding to requests from employees and vendors in a timely manner. 

  • Communicate office needs and operational updates to senior management as appropriate. 

Office Technology 

  • Ensure office technology — including TVs, Zoom rooms, printers, Wi-Fi, and other equipment — is functioning properly. 

  • Troubleshoot basic tech issues and escalate to the appropriate resource when needed.

Qualifications 

  • Prior experience in office management, operations, or a similar role preferred. 

  • Comfort troubleshooting basic office technology, including TVs, Zoom rooms, and Wi-Fi. 

  • Strong hospitality mindset and interpersonal skills; natural ability to make people feel welcome. 

  • Available to work on-site Monday through Friday during normal business hours. While not all hours must be on-site, this role requires a consistent, predictable on-site presence each week to respond to office needs as they arise. 

Work Environment 

  • On-site at the Austin flagship office 

  • Occasional standing, walking, or lifting up to 25 pounds 

  • Flexible schedule within a part-time 10–15 hour per week framework
