The instructor is responsible for providing and sustaining an effective learning environment for

every student through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair and holistic assessment of

learning, clear documentation and feedback on student progress, and support of academic success for

all students. The instructor is responsible for maintenance of professional competence through

engagement in documented professional development activities, for engagement in documented faculty

development activities that enhance the ability to provide

effective instruction and for participation in departmental and campus-wide activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction of ATI’s approved curriculum
  • Ensure all course objectives are met as outlines on the school’s official syllabus and course
  • outline.
  • Present facilitative well prepared, organized, clear lecture and classroom activities consistent
  • with the course syllabus and school policies.
  • Demonstrate to the students all tasks required by the students.
  • Evaluate the students all tasks required by the students.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance.
  • Identify struggling students and offer additional support or resources.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance.
  • Properly track students’ attendance during lecture or lab.
  • Maintain record tracking.
  • Ensure all lab exercises are conducted safely, with adherence to industry standards.
  • Regularly inspect training equipment and tools to ensure they are in good condition and safe to
  • use.
  • Instruct students on the importance of safety and proper safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and industry professionals to develop or modify the
  • curriculum.
  • Keep the course material up-to-date with current industry practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, changes in industry changes and updates, and advancements
  • in technology.
  • Attend workshops, training, and seminars to further develop teaching skills and technical
  • knowledge.
  • Stay current with all regional and state code changes and industry standards as it applies to
  • the program subject matter being taught.
  • Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment in the classroom and lab.
  • Address any student concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Call students when absent.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student attendance and performance records.
  • Attend faculty meetings and participate in departmental initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the department head or administration for course scheduling, equipment
  • procurement, and other logistical needs.
  • May participate in other campus activities, committees, and projects.
  • Must participate in graduation ceremonies and monthly staff meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
