POSITION SUMMARY:
The Tubing Hill Crew Member plays a key role in creating a safe, fun, and memorable experience for every guest visiting the Coca-Cola Tubing Hill. Crew Members are responsible for safely operating the tubing hill and conveyor lift while delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
This position requires teamwork, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Crew Members rotate through multiple operational positions throughout the day and work together to provide an efficient and enjoyable experience for guests of all ages.
WAGE:
Hourly pay: $18
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
GUEST SERVICE
  • Deliver friendly, professional, and engaging customer service to every guest
  • Welcome guests, answer questions, provide directions, and clearly explain tubing procedures and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while creating a fun and memorable guest experience.
  • Communicate effectively with guests of all ages and backgrounds.

TUBING HILL OPERATIONS:
  • Safely operate all assigned positions within the Tubing Hill
  • Rotate between operational positions throughout the day as assigned.
  • Perform opening, operating, and closing procedures following department standards.
  • Assist with daily inspections of the tubing hill, conveyor lift, lanes, fencing, signage, and guest areas.
  • Monitor guest flow and maintain efficient loading and unloading procedures.

SAFETY
  • Promote a culture where guest and employee safety is the highest priority.
  • Follow all Winter Park Resort policies and Tubing Hill operating procedures.
  • Operate the conveyor lift in accordance with established safety guidelines.
  • Maintain proper spacing between guests and tubes.
  • Continuously monitor the runout and deceleration areas to ensure safe stopping distances.
  • Recognize and address unsafe conditions and immediately report hazards to supervisors.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies while completing required documentation.
  • Request medical assistance when necessary.

SNOW AND FACILITY MAINTENANCE
  • Maintain safe snow conditions throughout the operating day using hand tools and equipment.
  • Keep guest walkways, loading areas, and workspaces clean and free of hazards.
  • Assist with moving tubes, equipment, fencing, signage, and other operational materials.
  • Support general maintenance and appearance of the Tubing Hill.

TEAMWORK
  • Work collaboratively with fellow crew members and supervisors.
  • Communicate clearly using radios and department procedures.
  • Assist coworkers during busy periods to maintain efficient operations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by learning multiple positions and adapting to changing operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred (or currently working toward completion).
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all winter weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak business periods.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and directions from supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous customer service, recreation, ski resort, amusement park, or outdoor work experience.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position is physically demanding and performed primarily outdoors in a mountain environment.
Crew Members must be able to:
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Walk and work on snow, ice, and uneven terrain throughout the day.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Bend, squat, kneel, twist, and reach frequently.
  • Work comfortably in cold temperatures, snow, wind, rain, sun, and changing mountain weather conditions.
  • Communicate clearly with guests and coworkers in a busy outdoor environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Primarily outdoor work in varying mountain weather conditions.

  • Moderate to loud noise levels due to lift machinery and guest activity.
  • Weekend, holiday, and evening work is required during the operating season.
