Job Overview

The Technician Laboratory tests and monitors finished beverage products and water treatment to ensure results are in accordance with company quality assurance specifications and regulatory requirements. The Technician Laboratory calibrates lab instruments and inputs data per record of results.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs tests to ensure product and package quality of finished beverage products are within company quality specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Maintains and calibrates lab equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
  • Maintains testing and calibration records and results through data entry into the Lab Data Management System (LDMS)
  • Performs water treatment quality tests following company quality specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Creates quality holds on finished beverage products for containment and investigation when quality tests do not meet specifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures
  • Understanding of a laboratory environment and laboratory practices preferred
  • Basic microbial knowledge and aseptic techniques
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and weekend and holiday work based on business needs unless specified otherwise by a CBA
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift up to 25lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience
