Job description

MalaceHR is seeking skilled Critical Facilities Technicians to support operations within a mission-critical data center environment. This role is responsible for maintaining uptime, performing preventative maintenance, and monitoring essential infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational setting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain critical and non-critical data center systems and infrastructure
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine site monitoring to ensure optimal system performance
  • Conduct engineering rounds and site inspections; check, record, and track system data and readings
  • Monitor pumps, fire protection systems, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Respond to mechanical and electrical issues, minimizing downtime and risk
  • Communicate effectively with third-party engineering support (e.g., JLL engineers) and provide basic troubleshooting assistance
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track maintenance activities and work orders
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and operational best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation including logs, rounds, and maintenance records
  • Support emergency response efforts and assist in system recovery as needed
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors on-site
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain maximum uptime and reliability

Qualifications
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment monitoring
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical school training or military experience
  • Electrical or mechanical license/certification
