These roles may involve commission, tips, or project-based pay, and often require relevant skills or licenses rather than formal degrees.

What are the typical duties and responsibilities for a Part Time CMA in a clinical setting?

A Part Time CMA is responsible for a combination of clinical and administrative tasks, which may include taking patient vital signs, preparing exam rooms, assisting with minor procedures, managing patient records, and scheduling appointments. While the specific duties can vary by employer and medical specialty, CMAs are usually the first point of contact for patients and play a crucial role in ensuring clinic flow and patient comfort. Part-time roles often have flexible schedules, but CMAs are still expected to maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all patient interactions. Teamwork is key, as CMAs regularly collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to support patient care and office efficiency.
