Part-Time SMB Sales Manager - Cloud & AI

Description
Emumba is looking for a high-energy, commercially driven SMB Sales Manager to help turn customer conversations into measurable business.
You'll work with prospects generated through industry events, partnerships, referrals, and outbound efforts, including opportunities coming from events such as technology expos and conferences. The role is ideal for someone who understands cloud technology, communicates with confidence, stays highly organized, and knows how to move a sales conversation forward. You will be expected to attend industry events and travel in country.
Must Have Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in technology sales, cloud infrastructure, or related B2B technology environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft is essential. You will be expected to drive customer conversations.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, high energy, ownership, and a strong bias for action are necessary along with the abiltiy to unlearn and learn.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer conversations simultaneously. You will be expected to be on top of an active pipeline of 25-30 customer engagements at a time.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for moving opportunities through the sales process.
  • A master at creating sales pipeline with industry events and expos. You will be expected to sell Emumba's value proposition along with AWS Cloud Infra with a net conversion resulting in scope of work.
  • AI-native approach to work, using Generative AI and modern sales tools to improve research, preparation, communication, and productivity. Speed is of the essence - deliverables that would normally take a week are expected to be delivered in an hour.
  • Ability to commit ~ 20 hours per week

  • Engage leads generated through events, partnerships, referrals, and other business-development channels.
  • Take ownership of leads from initial outreach through qualification and conversion.
  • Understand customer needs and identify where Emumba's technology and cloud capabilities can create value.
  • Maintain momentum across opportunities through structured and timely follow-ups.
  • Translate promising conversations into qualified opportunities and measurable revenue.
  • Develop trusted relationships with prospective customers and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand business challenges, technology environments, and buying priorities.
  • Clearly communicate Emumba's capabilities across cloud infrastructure, software engineering, AI, and digital transformation.
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams where deeper solution expertise is required.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, conversations, next steps, and opportunities.
  • Prioritize leads based on commercial potential and likelihood of conversion.
  • Build disciplined follow-up rhythms to ensure opportunities continue progressing.
  • Provide clear visibility into pipeline activity, customer feedback, blockers, and expected outcomes.
  • Existing relationships within the U.S. technology, cloud, or enterprise ecosystem
  • Experience selling AWS, Microsoft Azure, cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, managed services, or professional services
  • Experience working with AWS or Microsoft partner ecosystems
  • Experience following up on leads generated through conferences, expos, and industry events
  • Experience selling consulting or engineering services rather than only software products
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, AI transformation, or cloud-native technologies
  • Previous experience working with distributed or international technology teams

Within the first few months, you will have built a structured follow-up motion for Emumba's existing and incoming leads, established strong relationships with prospective customers, and created clear visibility into where the strongest commercial opportunities exist.
More importantly, success will be measured by conversion: turning conversations into qualified opportunities, opportunities into customer engagements, and customer engagements into revenue.
