About Us : The St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Residence is a private seniors' residence whose mission is to provide a safe, caring, and respectful living environment that promotes the well-being and independence of its residents. For over 19 years, we have welcomed both independent and semi-independent seniors into a warm and welcoming environment where teamwork and compassion are central to everything we do. The position: We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team. If you are driven by a desire to make a real difference in the daily lives of seniors, this position is for you. Your daily role: Administer required care to residents, including dressings, wound care and other nursing interventions; Monitor the health status of residents and carry out the necessary follow-ups (vital signs, blood glucose, clinical observations, etc.); Administer and monitor prescribed treatments (medication, insulin, specific treatments); Collaborate closely with the patient care attendants and supervise certain delegated tasks; Ensure effective communication with families, doctors, the pharmacy and other stakeholders; Document care and observations rigorously in residents' files; Participate in the admissions and integration of new residents; Perform required follow-ups and coordinate certain clinical activities of the unit; To intervene quickly and appropriately in emergency situations; Contribute to maintaining a safe environment and respecting quality standards of care. Desired profile: A respectful person who enjoys working with older people; Sociable and for whom teamwork is essential; Attentive to the needs of residents and concerned about their well-being; Known for your positive attitude and your ability to build trusting relationships. Requirements and training: Diploma of professional studies in health, assistance and nursing care; Member in good standing of the Order of Nurses and Nursing Assistants of Quebec (OIIAQ); Experience in a senior living residence (an asset).
