Job description

Make a Difference in Communities Across Washington
Birds Eye Medical is seeking dedicated Per Diem Registered Nurses to join our Mobile Childhood Immunization efforts across Washington State. While long-distance travel is not required, additional compensation, includingmileage reimbursement and daily per diem pay,is available for those who are willing to travel further.


About the Role

As a key part of our Mobile Team, you will help deliver vital childhood immunizations and may receive training to administer COVID-19, Flu, and Monkeypox vaccines as well. RNs will rotate through a variety of service delivery sites including public health clinics, schools, and community locations.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Administering childhood immunizations (training provided)
  • Conducting health assessments and reviewing immunization histories
  • Creating vaccination plans and educating patients
  • Offering referrals to community health resources
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and partners
  • Supporting clinic set-up and tear-down
  • Leading and overseeing CMAs, LPNs, medical scribes, and other staff
  • Managing patient flow and monitoring for adverse reactions

Scheduling & Flexibility

  • Shifts are Per Diem and flexible
  • Clinic schedules are shared bi-weekly
  • You choose which shifts to accept, and schedules are assigned via a mobile app
  • Tuesday through Sunday availability is preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $38.00 - $52.00
  • Mileage reimbursement: $0.70/mile for clinics located over 40 miles from your home
  • Per diem pay: $98/day for overnight stays
  • Free hotel accommodations if required for travel
  • Paid training (online and in-person)
  • Medical benefits available (based on FTE status)
  • Bi-weekly pay, including overtime when applicable

What You Need

  • Active Washington State RN license (WA is not part of the compact licensure program)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • At least 1 year of RN experience (acute care preferred)
  • Ability to vaccinate both pediatric and adult populations (18 months+)
  • Strong interpersonal skills-empathy, dependability, and professionalism are a must
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Tech savvy and comfortable with mobile scheduling tools
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination
