About the Role

The Surgical RN plays a vital role in supporting patients through their fertility journey by delivering exceptional care in the surgical suite. This position is ideal for compassionate, detail-oriented individuals who excel in fast-paced environments and want to make a meaningful difference. As a Surgical RN, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.

We are seeking a Surgical RN to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility- Arkansas in Bentonville, AR. This is a full-time, onsite position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for procedures, perform preoperative assessment, give discharge instructions, and start IV.
  • Recover patients after general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care. Reinforce discharge instructions.
  • Deliver direct patient care during pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases in the surgical suite.
  • Accurately document patient care and procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Clearly communicate post-operative instructions to patients and families.
  • Oversee surgical suite operations, ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and equipment functionality.
  • Adhere to and enforce aseptic techniques, quality control measures, and safety standards.
  • Initiate emergency protocols as needed and coordinate equipment repairs.
  • Mentor new staff and provide updates on any protocol changes.
  • Support organizational policies and contribute to process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Surgery Manager to assess equipment and supply needs.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the surgical team.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Education & Licensure:
    • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required.
    • Active RN license issued by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two years' experience as an RN.
    • One year of experience in a PACU or OR setting as an RN is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, transferring patients, and pushing or pulling equipment.
