What are Part Time Class 1 Drivers?

Part Time Class 1 Drivers are licensed professionals who operate large commercial vehicles, such as tractor-trailers or articulated trucks, on a part-time basis. They hold a Class 1 license, which allows them to drive vehicles with a trailer over a certain weight limit. These drivers often work flexible hours, transporting goods locally or regionally, and may be employed by logistics companies, retailers, or manufacturers. Their duties include loading and unloading cargo, performing safety checks, and maintaining accurate delivery records.

To thrive as a Part Time Class 1 Driver, you need a valid Class 1 (or equivalent) commercial driver’s license, a clean driving record, and knowledge of safe driving regulations. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and basic vehicle maintenance tools is commonly required.
