Role Description: Arcadis is looking for a Civil Engineer to be based out of our Mobile, Alabama office. The candidate in this role will perform civil design and project management tasks for a variety of projects in the region.

Tasks may include site layouts, grading, hydraulic modeling, pump stations, lift stations, utility design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control design, and task/project management. The Arcadis Mobile, AL office has a number of contracts with the USACE Mobile District. Previous experience with federal contracting and design is desirable.

Travel to our other offices in the region, including Pensacola and New Orleans and client-sites in Mississippi and Florida may be required depending on workload. Role Accountabilities: This Civil Engineer will support senior staff on civil design and permitting efforts primarily for municipal clients, including lift stations, pump stations, and utility transmission and distribution projects. Additional responsibilities include: Supporting municipalities with design review services for contractor developed packages such as building site plans, utility layout and connections, stormwater drainage ponds, parking lots, fire protection, etc., for subdivisions, apartment complexes, condominiums, office complexes, city streets, etc

Provides support for the planning, design, and permitting process to ensure all work complies with contracts, drawings, specifications, applicable codes. Some travel may be required Required Qualifications 6 years or more of experience in civil engineering BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field EIT certification Key Skills and Attributes Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes on work on more than one project simultaneously.

Ability to be self sufficient and work on projects individually or in small groups. Preferred Qualifications Experience in design of land development projects(and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D with experience in Blue Beam software is preferred. Other software that would be preferred includes scheduling software (MS Project or P6), MS Office Suite, and experience with hydraulic models such as Water CAD, Sewer CAD, ICPR (Stormwise) for stormwater management and design of retention/detention ponds, HECRAS, etc.
