Job description

Coast and Harbor Associates, Inc. (Coast and Harbor) assists public, private, and institutional owners and users of real estate to manage the design and construction of their projects. An owner's project management firm with over 30 years' experience and a $2.75 billion portfolio, Coast and Harbor is looking for qualified candidates to assist with design review during the preconstruction phase of projects. Services will be provided on an as-needed, part-time basis.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Thorough review of design documents on behalf of the owner for accuracy and consistency, and compliance with the owner's program.
  • Checking that the design adheres to local building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards.
  • Assessing project feasibility relative to budget constraints, site limitations, and project timeline.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience related to design of commercial or institutional buildings
  • Experience with Autodesk Software (Revit, CAD)
  • Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, permitting, building construction, building systems, and site requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or knowledge of energy modeling/CODE compliance, LEED review, and security
