What types of patients or cases does a part time chiropractor typically see, and how does the schedule impact patient care?

As a Part Time Chiropractor, you may treat a wide range of patients dealing with conditions such as back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal issues. The flexible schedule allows you to focus on specific patient populations or provide care during peak hours, such as evenings or weekends. While working part time may result in seeing fewer patients per week compared to full-time roles, it also allows for more personalized care and can foster strong patient relationships. Chiropractic clinics often coordinate appointment scheduling to ensure continuity of care, so you'll still work closely with colleagues and may collaborate with other health professionals as needed.

What is a part time chiropractor?

A Part Time Chiropractor is a licensed chiropractic professional who works fewer hours than a full-time chiropractor, often on a flexible schedule. They diagnose and treat musculoskeletal issues, focusing on spinal adjustments and other therapeutic techniques to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Part-time chiropractors may work in private practices, wellness clinics, or as independent contractors. This role is ideal for those seeking work-life balance or supplementing another job while still providing quality patient care.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a part time chiropractor?

To succeed as a Part Time Chiropractor, you need a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree, state licensure, and a strong understanding of musculoskeletal health, spinal adjustments, and patient rehabilitation protocols. Familiarity with chiropractic management software, diagnostic imaging systems, and electronic health records is often required. Excellent interpersonal skills, active listening, and professionalism help build trust with patients and collaborate effectively with office staff. These abilities are crucial for providing high-quality care, managing patient relationships, and supporting efficient clinic operations in a part-time setting.

Job description

Summit Hill Chiropractic is a locally owned healthcare clinic in St. Paul looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized person to join our team as a Part-Time Patient Care Coordinator.

Our current front desk coordinator is moving on to an exciting new opportunity. While she will be greatly missed, we're excited for her next chapter and are looking for another wonderful person to become an important part of our small team.

This is a patient-facing position and a great fit for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, takes pride in staying organized, and is looking for a consistent part-time weekday schedule.

Previous medical or chiropractic office experience is helpful, but not required. We're much more interested in finding the right person who is kind, reliable, comfortable communicating with people, and willing to learn.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome patients and create a friendly, positive experience when they arrive
  • Answer phone calls, texts, and patient questions
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments
  • Collect copays and patient payments
  • Assist with basic insurance and patient account questions
  • Help maintain accurate patient information
  • Communicate with our providers and other team members throughout the day
  • Assist with general administrative and front desk responsibilities
  • Help keep the clinic organized and running smoothly

Who We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you are:

  • Warm, friendly, and comfortable talking with people
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Organized and able to manage several things at once
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new software
  • Able to communicate professionally by phone, text, and in person
  • Someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative
  • Interested in becoming a valued part of a small, supportive healthcare team

We value kindness, reliability, teamwork, and treating people like people. We're looking for someone who shares those values and wants to be an important part of the patient experience.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, we'd love to hear from you! Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction telling us a little about yourself and why this particular part-time position interests you.
