Job description

Part-Time Memory Care Partner Weekday Daytime Hours

Looking for meaningful, consistent part-time work that fits into your weekday schedule?

At Full Bloom Memory Care, we're hiring compassionate, engaging, and dependable Memory Care Partners for part-time weekday schedules in the Evanston area.

This is a caregiver position with a unique focus on companionship, engagement, and activity-based dementia care. While you'll provide supportive caregiving as needed, much of your time will be spent helping clients stay active, engaged, and connected through meaningful activities, conversation, walks, outings, and person-centered experiences.

These part-time opportunities are especially well suited for someone who wants steady, meaningful work of approximately 20 hours per week rather than a traditional 40+ hour caregiving schedule.

Current availability needed:

  • MondayFriday
  • Daytime hours between 7:00 AM1:00 PM
  • Consistent 46 hour shifts
  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Evanston and surrounding area

If your favorite part of working with older adults is building relationships, sharing conversation, staying active, and helping someone genuinely enjoy their day, we'd love to meet you.

Full Bloom Memory Care is dedicated exclusively to supporting older adults living with dementia and memory loss through compassionate, relationship-centered care.

Our philosophy is simple: people living with dementia deserve more than assistance-they deserve meaningful days filled with purpose, connection, dignity, and joy.

That's why our Memory Care Partners do more than complete tasks. We build relationships, create experiences, encourage independence, and help each client remain engaged in the things that matter most to them.

Every day is different because every client is different.

As a Memory Care Partner, you'll combine companionship, meaningful engagement, and supportive caregiving tailored to each client's personality, interests, and abilities.

A typical shift might include:

  • Sharing coffee and conversation
  • Going for a neighborhood walk
  • Playing games, cards, or doing puzzles
  • Listening to favorite music
  • Baking, gardening, or doing crafts together
  • Visiting a senior center, park, or favorite local spot
  • Encouraging independence with daily routines
  • Providing supportive caregiving and personal care as needed
  • Building a genuine relationship through companionship and conversation

We believe meaningful engagement is just as important as the care we provide.

You don't need to be someone looking for a traditional full-time caregiving schedule to make an incredible Memory Care Partner.

We're especially interested in people who are looking for consistent, purposeful part-time work and naturally enjoy connecting with others.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Genuinely enjoy spending time with older adults
  • Are warm, conversational, and engaging
  • Know how to make someone feel comfortable and included
  • Enjoy walks, games, music, outings, crafts, cooking, or other activities
  • Are patient and able to adapt when plans change
  • Naturally encourage independence
  • Are dependable and value having a consistent weekly schedule
  • Want meaningful work without needing 4060 hours per week

We welcome applicants from both traditional and non-traditional backgrounds.

Your experience might come from:

  • Caregiving or senior living
  • Memory care
  • Education or childcare
  • Social work or psychology
  • Behavioral health
  • Recreation or activity programs
  • Human services
  • Community or volunteer programs
  • Youth programs
  • Hospitality
  • Theater, music, or the creative arts
  • Caring for an older family member

For these positions, we're looking beyond a resume. Warmth, reliability, patience, creativity, and the ability to genuinely connect with another person matter tremendously.

Many caregiving jobs are designed for caregivers seeking long shifts and 40+ hours every week.

This opportunity isn't.

We're intentionally building a team of Memory Care Partners who want shorter, consistent weekday shifts and meaningful one-on-one relationships with clients.

This could be a great fit if you're looking for approximately 20 hours per week during daytime hours and want your work to have a real purpose.

As a Memory Care Partner, you will:

  • Build meaningful relationships with clients and families
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Create engaging experiences based on each client's interests
  • Encourage movement, walking, and healthy routines
  • Lead cognitive, recreational, and enrichment activities
  • Accompany clients on community outings
  • Encourage independence with everyday activities
  • Provide compassionate caregiving and personal care as needed
  • Communicate with Full Bloom's dementia care team to ensure excellent continuity of care

Unlike traditional home care agencies, Full Bloom specializes exclusively in dementia care.

We'll provide specialized training to help you better understand dementia, communicate effectively, respond compassionately, and create meaningful experiences for the people you support.

You'll never be expected to simply "sit" with a client. You'll be encouraged to engage, connect, and make your time together meaningful.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive pay: $25.00/hr
  • Consistent part-time weekday schedules
  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • 46 hour daytime shifts between 7:00 AM1:00 PM
  • Weekly pay
  • Thoughtful client matching based on personalities, interests, and strengths
  • Paid hands-on training in memory care and behavioral techniques
  • Ongoing mentorship and professional development
  • Opportunities to grow with Full Bloom
  • Recognition programs celebrating our Memory Care Partners

A Person-Centered Approach That Honors You:

Just as we take time to understand every client, we want to understand you -your personality, strengths, interests, and passions.

That allows us to thoughtfully match Memory Care Partners with clients where genuine relationships can develop.

We believe great care starts with supporting great caregivers.

Requirements:

  • Consistent weekday availability MondayFriday between 7:00 AM1:00 PM
  • Ability to consistently work approximately 20 hours per week
  • Reliable transportation to clients in the Evanston area
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a background check and verify eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Eligibility to register with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Health Care Worker Registry
  • Previous professional or personal experience supporting older adults is welcomed, but we also encourage candidates with strong transferable experience to apply

Make Your Part-Time Hours Meaningful:

Maybe you're not looking for a traditional 40-hour workweek.

Maybe you're looking for consistent weekday hours, meaningful relationships, and work you can genuinely feel good about.

At Full Bloom Memory Care, a four-hour shift isn't "just a short shift."

It's a walk around the neighborhood. A favorite song. A trip for coffee. A good conversation. A familiar routine. A laugh. And a few hours when someone living with memory loss feels connected, confident, and genuinely engaged.

That's what caregiving looks like at Full Bloom.

If that sounds like the kind of part-time work you've been looking for, we'
