Job description

TITLE: Regional Route Driver Division: Transportation- Chillicothe
Reports to: Transportation Supervisor FLSA: Non- Exempt/Hourly
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Graves Foods, a 75-year-old wholesale foodservice distributor, proudly serves nursing homes, schools, restaurants, and other foodservice providers throughout the Midwest. We are currently seeking experienced CDL Drivers to join our team and deliver quality products while providing excellent customer service to our clients.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a CDL Driver at Graves Foods, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering foodservice products to various locations throughout the Midwest. Your day will start early at our Chillicothe, MO warehouse, where you will organize paperwork and perform pre-trip inspections. You will then operate a company vehicle to deliver products, physically unload them at customer locations, maintain necessary records, and complete post-trip inspections.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Start the day between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM, ending around 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
  • Meet at the Chillicothe warehouse to organize paperwork for the day.
  • Conduct and record Pre-Trip Inspections before departing the warehouse around 4:00-5:00 AM.
  • Operate a company vehicle to transport products to various locations throughout the Midwest.
  • Physically unload products at customers' places of business.
  • Maintain DOT and company-required records throughout the day.
  • Perform Post Trip Inspections and submit paperwork.
  • Clean the truck, fill it with fuel, and top off all necessary fluids.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Current/Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 1 year of driving commercial vehicles
  • Current/Valid CDL physical
  • Compliance with DOT regulations to maintain an excellent DOT rating and ensure road safety
