Familiarity with CCTV systems, video monitoring software, and sometimes SIA (Security Industry Authority) licensing is typically required. What are part time CCTV operators?

Part time CCTV operators are security professionals who monitor surveillance camera systems on a scheduled, non-full-time basis. Their main role is to observe live video feeds to detect suspicious activity, prevent crime, and ensure safety in places like shopping centers, offices, or public spaces. They may also be responsible for reporting incidents, maintaining records, and sometimes interacting with law enforcement or emergency services. Part time positions typically involve working specific shifts, such as evenings, weekends, or overnight hours. This job requires attention to detail, reliability, and often some basic technical knowledge of CCTV systems.
