POSITION: Control Board Operator

The Opportunity: Under the general guidance and direction of a Sergeant - Corrections, maintains security of the Utah County Jail by constantly observing interior and exterior areas, controlling electronic doors, and monitoring activities of inmates and staff via CCTV, security cameras, intercom, and radio.

Starting Pay: $18.87 to $21.72 Hourly (depending on experience)

Schedule: Days/nights/weekends/holidays

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor inmate and staff activity via CCTV, intercom, and radio
Control electronic doors and inmate movement
Report emergencies and unusual activity
Maintain communication with inmates and staff
Log activities and operate security equipment

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of work experience (or substitute with an associate's degree)
Valid driver's license (Utah license required within 60 days)
Must pass a drug screen and background check

Preferred Experience:
Experience in security, law enforcement, or inmate monitoring
A degree in law enforcement or social sciences
