EKG technicians focus on performing electrocardiograms and may have slightly lower average pay, though both roles typically require certification and are part-time or full-time healthcare positions.

Is there a demand for dialysis technicians?

Dialysis technicians, including Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technicians (CCHTs), are in steady demand due to the increasing prevalence of chronic kidney disease and the need for dialysis treatments. Healthcare facilities such as hospitals and dialysis centers regularly seek qualified technicians who can operate dialysis machines and monitor patient care, making employment opportunities generally available in this field.

What other jobs can a PCT do?

A Part Time Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) can often perform roles such as dialysis technician, patient care technician, or medical assistant, depending on their certifications and experience.
